A Message for Those who Live from the Heart

It can be scary to live from the heart. It requires strength, courage and determination. When you choose this path, know that some people may not understand you and may even judge you. Some days, you may even feel lonely or slightly depressed. These periods are followed by the excitement and joy that comes from following your heart.

You may want to give up on your dreams, and there are going to be times when you’ll do anything to achieve them. This path can definitely feel like an emotional roller coaster at times, but it’s okay. Remember that you don’t have to do it alone.

You’re not broken!

I have an important message for you today. You’re not broken. All of us are whole because we are divine sacred beings. How can I say these things with confidence?
There was a period of my life where I suffered from severe depression. I didn’t want to get out of bed in the morning, and I wondered if life meant anything at all. I felt that it would never end.
During this time, my father passed away, I lost my favorite cat to a debilitating brain condition, and I couldn’t see my life improving any time soon. In fact, if someone had tried to convince me that I wasn’t broken, I wouldn’t have believed them.
However, I have chosen a more empowering perspective. I truly believe that this dark period of my life acted as a catalyst for remembering my own inherent divinity and beginning to return to our natural state of wholeness. I know that I am a work in progress, and that’s okay. I also know that I’m not broken, and I never was. However, I don’t want you to simply take my word for it. I want you to experience this truth for yourself. You deserve it!

Law of attraction not working? Try this.

One of the most fascinating things that I have encountered on my spiritual journey is the law of attraction and our ability to manifest anything into reality. There was a time when I was depressed, and I felt that something in my life needed to change. Although I’d heard of the law of attraction, I had put it out of my mind for several years.
However, I stumbled across this information once again. I tried many of the recommended law of attraction exercises. However, every time I tried to visualize my desires, I would become distracted. I concluded that nothing would ever change anyway.
After working with a coach, I began to understand why I was manifesting the same things into my life over and over again despite studying the law of attraction. I was doing the same things over and over again while expecting different results. In other words, I was not in alignment with what I was trying to manifest.
Although I was visualizing a happier life for myself, I was depressed, which is a low vibration. Also, I did not have the belief that things would change. You can visualize and write lists of intentions until the cows come home, but if you are not in alignment with your goals and desires, you may not see the results that you expected. However, once your emotions, beliefs, and actions are brought into alignment with your goals and desires, you are more likely to wreap the rewards of your efforts.
For example, someone may be looking for love for several years. They may be seeking out a relationship in all the right ways, but that person secretly believes that she is unlovable. Since this person is out of alignment with the desire of finding love, she may end up bouncing from one relationship to another. Similarly, if I say that I want to save money while believing that I don’t deserve money and spend every penny I have, I am unlikely to manifest more money despite my desire because my beliefs and actions are not in alignment with my desire to have more money.

Unhappiness as a Message

For many years, I suffered from recurring bouts of severe depression. Even when I seemed to recover, I wasn’t happy. Sure, I would go about my day with a smile on my face, but that was for everyone else’s benefit.
Whenever someone was able to see through my smile, they asked why I was unhappy. I could have pointed to several things in my life which led to my unhappiness, but dealing with those things was only a temporary fix. During my third or fourth year of college, I woke up one morning with that familiar feeling. I was experiencing the same profound sadness that I had been experiencing for years. I remember feeling frustrated because there was no reason for me to feel that way. I had an amazing internship, I had improved my grades, and I had a close group of friends.
I asked myself why I was still so sad. However, I didn’t expect an answer. However, I received the following message from Spirit:The reason you are still so unhappy is due to a lack of self-love and inability to forgive yourself.
After I got over my shock, I figured that I’d better get to work.
However, even after doing some work on forgiveness and self-love, I still felt unhappy. After graduating from college, I received another strong message: Unhappiness is caused by an embalance in one or more areas of your life.
While I would not wish profound sadness on anyone, I would encourage you to see your unhappiness as a message. What area of your life feels out of balance? If you have more than one answer to that question, which of those things is the least overwhelming? After asking yourself those questions, take action accordingly. If you are experiencing depression, however, it may be helpful to seek professional medical advice.
