how silence can be a message

How would you react if you tuned into your intuition and there was complete silence? Would you be annoyed, or would you just accept it?
When I connect with Spirit, sometimes I do so in order to ask for clarity and guidance. One evening, I asked my guides a question.
However, I did not receive an answer, or at least that’s what my monkey mind led me to believe. However, the silence was actually a message about being present and taking time to quiet the mind chatter.
If I had allowed myself to become frustrated at the supposed lack of a response from Spirit, I would have missed the message altogether.

a message about success

Hello, everyone! I received some more guidance that I’d like to share with all of you. In order to be successful, there are two essential things that need to happen. First, it is important to be in a state of gratitude as much as possible. Second, in order to be truly successful, it is important to listen to our intuition and take action according to your inner guidance. If we do these two things, we are able to create success for ourselves.
It may take some time and effort, but the journey is definitely worth it!

insight for today

During meditation, I received some guidance that I wanted to share, and I hope it is beneficial to you in some way. Focus on joy and success rather than fear and stress.
Yes, I can already hear some people telling me that this is easier said than done. However, this doesn’t have to be the case. Ask yourself these two questions:
How can I bring more joy into my life? How would my life change if I focused on joy and success for just five minutes each day?
If you don’t feel able to do this right now, that’s okay. Alternatively, you may want to start by asking yourself what is keeping you from allowing more joy and greater success into your life. Remember that you always have a choice when it comes to how you want to experience life. You owe it to yourself to choose a life of joy and success. Yes, it is truthat you may have days when nothing seems to go your way, but you can still choose your reaction to those experiences.

What does it mean to have faith?

Often, especially if we are dealing with life’s challenges, we are encouraged to have faith. So, what does it mean to have faith?
Does it require church attendance or worshipping a higher power? Does it require us to blindly follow someone else’s teachings?
Perhaps having faith means expecting a higher power to act on our behalf without any effort on our part.
While you may have your own perception of what it means to have faith, here is what I’ve learned through my own experience. If I receive divine guidance and wait for something to manifest without acting upon that guidance, that is not having faith because I expected the spirit world to do the work for me.
Instead, having faith requires that I trust the guidance that I am given, act on it, and then allow myself to receive. Sometimes, that is easier said then done, but in the end, it is always worth my time and effort.

a word about discernment

Self-doubt is something that plagues many of us from time to time. However, the voice of self-doubt, perfectionism, and criticism has nothing to do with who we are on the soul level.
However, the voice of our intuition is never critical, and it will bring us closer to the divine. While the voice of self-doubt is often loud and obnoxious, the voice of our intuition is persistent, quiet, and gentle. If we listen to the voice of self-doubt, we may find that we are taken on one detour after another in our lives and we allow fear and insecurity to guide our decisions. However, if we take the time to quiet our mind chatter and allow our intuition to speak, the path becomes smoother. That is why it is important to discern between the voice of our intuition and the voice of self-doubt.
For example, I’ve struggled with perfectionism for years. I’ve decided that my inner perfectionist sounds like a valley girl and has perfect hair, skin, and teeth. If I happen to be giving a reading and a spirit with similar characteristics comes through, things might get a little more complicated. If that shappens, I may have to come up with another system.

your spirit guides

Most of us have people who act as teachers, friends, counselors, or mentors in our lives. Whether you can identify such people in your own life or not, rest assured that you have such help available to you in the spirit world. These helpful beings are called spirit guides, and I believe that everyone has at least one.

Our spirit guides made an agreement to work with us before we were even born. Since they have incarnated into human bodies before, they know that life outside of the spirit world is a challenging one. However, while it is their sincere intention to help us, they will allow us to make our own decisions and mistakes. I believe that they want us to learn our own lessons so that we can experience the peace and joy that are freely available to all of us.

Our guides can help us with everything from developing our psychic abilities to dealing with challenging relationships. Our guides can also help us when we are feeling down. Most of all, they are there to counsel, comfort, and teach us from their higher perspective.

You do not have to be a medium to connect with your guides. They can communicate with us through our intuition, dreams, meditation, synchronicities, and songs on the radio. Spirits never cease to amaze me! They never seem to run out of creative ways to communicate with us. Spirits can hear our thoughts, so you can easily begin to communicate with your guides. Start by taking long, slow, deep breaths while quieting your mind. Then, simply ask them a question. Speak to them as formally or informally as you wish. Please remember that these are your friends and mentors, and treat them with respect. Even if you don’t receive an answer to your question right away, thank them for their assistance. Then, pay attention to any dreams, intuitive feelings, or symbols that repeat themselves. You may wish to write down your experiences.

beliefs: Do they help or harm?

First, let’s examine the origin of our beliefs. Our earliest beliefs probably come from our caregivers.

Then, we are bombarded by more beliefs by our schools, churches, peer groups, or social organizations. On top of this, we begin to develop our own beliefs about things. This is not a bad thing.

However, it is important to examine whether those beliefs are helping or hindering us. How do we do that?

Well, I would encourage people to use their intuition, or internal guidance systems, to do this. Let’s take the example of yesterday’s post. Prior to examining my beliefs about success, I believed that I was a failure because I didn’t have the grades or that dream job. If I had tuned into my intuition, this is what it would look like.

I would have taken a deep breath and asked myself how the belief made me feel. Perhaps I would have felt a tightness in my stomach or some anxiety around the issue. Then, I could have asked myself: What are the most likely consequences of maintaining this belief?

Then, I could have replaced it with a more positive belief about success instead of learning to do it the heard way. In the next post, I will give you some suggestions on how to transform those limiting beliefs. In the meantime, I encourage you to try the above exercise. Pick one area of your life such as finances, career, or health and list your beliefs about those things.

Then, take a deep breath, relax, and tune into the sensations in your body. Ask yourself: How does this belief make me feel? If it feels negative, ask yourself: What are the consequences of holding onto this limiting belief? If you’re ready to take this a step further, ask yourself: What is a more empowering belief?
